    Minister Oatzińu Shéélakéé:
      Recognized by his people as a High Priest clergyman and Plenipotentiary High Chief of the Li Pa Henne Tribe in New Mexico, Min. Oatzi’nu She’e’lake’e’ brings sacred indigenous traditions of healing and ceremony to our community. Trained in the energy techniques of Dja’a’ Thle’na ‘i’ To’klineh (Sun Moon balance medicine) by his grandfather, Don Encarnación “Chon” Castillo a full-blood Chaco Canyon, Pueblo Bonito Dineh, Oz started apprenticeship from the time he was 13 years old until the passing of his grandfather at age 95-100 (Jan 2011) in Castroville, TX. Sunday Celebration – Introduction to Tzu Chi and How it Supports Our Community with Alex Tsao (pronounced tsi ji)

Tzu Chi

  • Tzu Chi (pronounced tsi ji) Foundation,, is a Buddhist charity organization headquartered in Taiwan.  Through its four major missions: charity, medicine, education and culture, Tzu Chi has been delivering humanitarian services to the people in more than 90 countries during the last 50 years. Tzu Chi has established nine regional offices in the United States to provide services ranging from hot meals for the homeless population in the local communities to the nationwide disaster relief works such as Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, Napa earthquake and Nor Cal Valley Fire.  Located in San Jose, Tzu Chi Northwest Region office serves an area encompassing eight states including Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, Northern California and Northern Nevada.Alex Tsao, Ph. D.:  is a member of the leadership council for Tzu Chi Foundation USA, Northwest Region.  Alex has worked in the technology industries for more than 30 years and is now dedicating most of his time in various volunteer works.  Alex has served as a past president for American Cancer Society, California Chinese Unit and is a current board member of Alzheimer’s Association, Northern California and Northern Nevada Chapter.  He also sits on the advisory boards of Chinese Health Initiative Project at El Camino Hospital and New Hope Chinese Cancer Care Foundation.
